My name is Zoe Wilson, I am 23 and I am from the stunning Lake District.
From a professional perspective, I have just finished a degree in Podiatry – Medicine of the lower limb and I am about to undertake a Master’s Degree in Podiatric Surgery in Edinburgh this September. My main area of expertise is Biomechanics – Gait analysis, Sports related injuries/ strains/ Mechanical stresses of the Feet, Ankles, Knees, Hips and lower back.
Now for the good stuff… I absolutely love the outdoors and I have travelled all over the world including adventures in New Zealand, Africa, France, Italy, The US, Canada and Finland.
I am extremely passionate about road cycling, mountain biking, Fell running, mountaineering, open water swimming and last but not least, mountain days with my dogs.
My love of cycling began only a year ago when I bought my first ever road bike, The Wilier Montegrappa, The best and most influential purchase I have ever made!! Roll forwards a year and now I enjoy weekly club rides with my local Bike shop where we scale around 5,000ft and cover 50 miles of blissful Lake District countryside back lanes. Every time I ride the beauty of the lakes never ceases to take my breath away.
I have been fortunate enough to build a fantastic 5,400 following on my Instagram page and I’m lucky enough to represent a range of different Brands within the cycling world!
I also enjoy getting involved with competitive events on my bike such as Duathlons, Sportives, Time trials and in the future Critorium races. In fact I have just completed my first 10 mile TT in the rain, wind and hail – and I loved every second of it!
I am also very keen to help out the team at neoscycling.co.uk. Having a lot of experience of the retail operation in the family (Outdoor industry), I love the radical new approach NEOS is taking to the distribution channels in cycling. Exciting times!
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my brief bio and I hope I can inspire more people to get out there and ride bikes! It will be the best thing you ever do!
“Live life, Love your bike”.
